Peter Friesen is a local keyboard artist and piano teacher. He performs as a soloist for weddings and corporate events, as an accompanist for local singers and music and movement classes at local daycares. Peter has been teaching and performing for 30+ years. He is proud to present several of his students at this years Garlic Festival.
2014 Rich City Idol winner, Maria Encarnacion, is an exciting up and coming musical talent with a vocal and instrumental repertoire that spans a wide range of genres from classic jazz standards to the latest in contemporary pop music. From Ella Fitzgerald to Frank Ocean, Maria’s soulful vocals bring energy and a contemporary spin to jazz classics and pop hits. Maria puts warmth and enthusiasm into every performance and the diverse range of styles in her repertoire instantly connects with a wide ranging audience – the perfect sound track for concerts, weddings or corporate events.
Jasmine is a young singer from the South Surrey / White Rock area. She sings in a variety of styles but specializes in jazz and pop. A multi-talented artist, she plays guitar, ukulele, piano, drums and saxophone.
Kayla Blossom offers a wide array of vocal and musical talent ranging from classic rock, to country, all the way to modern pop.
From a young age, Kayla has enjoyed singing and music; but her musical talent began to take shape between the ages of eleven and twelve. She began by accompanying her sister who plays piano, and later with a family friend playing the guitar. Kayla became interested in playing the guitar around the age of 12 and has been self taught ever since.
Kayla has recently performed at the Steveston Farmers Market, and enjoys busking around and out of town.
Kimberley is thirteen year old singer. She’s been playing piano since she was five.
